"...to grant to those who mourn in Zion- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3

Perfect Pancakes :)
We really enjoy this pancake recipe and think it makes wonderful pancakes every time! Feel free to add whatever you want to make them more to your taste--- bananas, cinnamon, fruit, chocolate chips... etc!
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons white sugar
2 Tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center, and pour in milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
